Tennessee gets ultimate primetime treatment for huge Week 12 game at Georgia
If you've got plans for Nov. 17 at night time, cancel them immediately. Unless those plans include you watching the Tennessee Volunteers try and post an upset on the road in Athens. As you all know by now, the Vols will be taking on UGA away from Neyland Stadium on Nov. 16.
It will be a thrilling contest that will feature two Top 10 teams. Well, the matchup has just been made even more intriguing. Why's that? Tennessee has announced that kickoff for this one will be 7:30 p.m. ET. Not only that, it's going to be a primetime matchup on ABC for the rest of the country to watch. Boom:
Georgia vs. Tennessee in Week 12 will be a primetime battle on ABC
Get your popcorn ready for this one. The Vols are coming off a thrilling 28-18 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats, which now has them at 7-1 on the year. As for Georgia, they took everything they could handle from the Florida Gators in Jacksonville.
Things were on the rocks in the first half, but when DJ Lagway went down with his hamstring injury, Georgia took advantage and left the field with a victory. The Bulldogs remain the No. 2 team in the country behind the No. 1 Oregon Ducks.
Tennessee will take on Mississippi State this weekend, but it's a game Josh Heupel and Co. will know better than to overlook. They've got to focus on the Bulldogs before even thinking about getting ready for Kirby Smart and Co. Once that game vs. MSU goes final, the excitement for the Georgia showdown will get going.
Now that we know it's on ABC, it makes that upcoming contest even better. Will Tennessee be able to post a statement win over the Bulldogs with countless viewers watching the action? We can't wait to find out.
