As most of you Tennessee football fans already know, there's going to be a totally different look to the wide receivers room for next season. A head-turning five wideouts have left the program via the portal, while we're still waiting to see what ends up happening with Mike Matthews.

That hasn't stopped head man Josh Heupel from looking at outside help for next season. There's plenty of focus on former No. 1 WR in the country Zachariah Branch, but there's a new name that has popped up for UT supporters to keep a close eye on.

According to multiple reports, Tennessee has entered the race to land Florida State WR Malik Benson, who made his way to Tallahassee after a short stint with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Vols aren't the only school making a play for Benson, though:

Tennessee is working to get FSU WR transfer Malik Benson in town for a visit

A 6-1, 195-pounder, Benson posted 25 receptions for 311 yards and one touchdown. In addition to Tennessee, Benson is also receiving interest from Oregon, Kansas State and others. This weekend, he'll be making the trip to Eugene to meet with the Ducks staff.

Dan Lanning and Co. suffered a rough loss to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff, the same team that took down the Vols in the first round. Curse those darn Buckeyes, right? Regardless, Oregon is already working to improve its offense, while Tennessee needs WR help as soon as possible.

Branch is the biggest name on UT's board for Heupel, but Benson is someone else who could step in and make an impact. Nico Iamaleava needs some more bodies to throw to now that so many guys have decided to leave Knoxville. If Heupel can get both Branch AND Benson on campus for a visit, it'd be the first step in getting Iamaleava that needed help.
