Let this be your daily reminder that when it comes to recruiting, you never know what's going to happen. Earlier this week, Josh Heupel was dealt a bit of a blow when the Tennessee football team lost a prized four-star defensive line commit.

Tyson Bacon had been Knoxville-bound for a little while, but with so many visits on the way, he decided it was best to back off his pledge and take some more time to think about where he wants to play his college ball. This wasn't a huge surprise.

However, Bacon has since decided to announce a new list of finalists, revealing his Top 10 on social media on Friday. Tennessee has made the cut, as Bacon is not ready to rule out playing in front of the crowd at Neyland Stadium moving forward. However, it's a bit concerning that there are nine other schools Bacon is keeping in mind for his second commitment date, which is yet to be determined:

In addition to the Vols, Bacon is still focusing on Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Auburn, Ole Miss, Michigan, Alabama, USC and Florida. On Friday, the 6-3, 265-pounder is in Columbus for his first unofficial visit with the Buckeyes.

Per his 247Sports page, Bacon has official visits scheduled with Washington (May 2), Georgia (May 16), Alabama (May 30), Florida (June 13) and Tennessee (June 20). However, with Bacon deciding to open his recruitment back up, don't be shocked if a change in his OV schedule is on the way.

A Hoover, Ala. product, Bacon is ranked the No. 34 defensive lineman in the country and No. 296 prospect nationally. Since his Tennessee commitment in October, schools raced to extend a new offer his way. It led to his decommitment, which was rough to see. The Vols apparently are still in the mix to land him down the road, but Heupel is once again facing serious competition to get that done.
