Tennessee Vols fans had incredible reaction to Florida taking down Ole Miss
For one day and one day only, Tennessee Volunteers fans can enjoy showing plenty of love to Billy Napier and the Florida Gators. In stunning fashion, the Gators stunned No. 9 Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin, which is a massive result for Josh Heupel and Co.
The Vols dominated UTEP, having no issues taking them down at Neyland Stadium. With the Tennessee victory, the team now has one foot in the door for the College Football Playoff, as they'll surely move ahead of Ole Miss, which now has three losses on the year.
As soon as the news of the Florida upset reached Knoxville, people were over the moon. Matter of fact, when the score was announced at Neyland Stadium, fans couldn't help but celebrate in style, doing the 'Gator Chomp' in unison. Come on, this is hilarious:
Vols fans did the Gator Chomp at Neyland after Florida stunned Ole Miss
Can you blame everyone for doing this? Absolutely not. When the College Football Playoff rankings came out earlier in the week, Tennessee checked in at No. 11, but the Vols were also projected to be the first team out.
Now, though, with Ole Miss losing to Florida, they're right back in the mix of things. It's also a big help that Indiana was totally owned on the road against Ohio State. Could the Vols jump the Hoosiers too? That might be a stretch, but they'll 100 percent be ahead of the Rebels.
With a win, Ole Miss would have had a great chance to make the CFP, but now their hopes are on the respirator. This isn't a worry for Heupel and Tennessee, as the Volunteers appear to be a win over Vanderbilt away from booking their ticket. The Gators did Tennessee a massive favor. Props to Napier and his guys for getting the job done.
