Thankfully, the wait is just about over for No. 16 Tennessee to host No. 8 Kentucky (AP rankings) in a highly anticipated Week 10 showdown. The drama could not be higher for this rivalry showdown, as the Vols simply have to win to keep the College Football Playoff dreams alive. This is all something Josh Heupel and his players are keeping in mind before kickoff.

On the other side of the field, Will Stein and the pesky Wildcats have an upset in mind. How is this one going to shape out? We can't wait to find out, but we've got you covered with everything you need to know about this contest before the opening whistle blows.

Forecast in Knoxville for Week 10 matchup between Tennessee and Kentucky

You truly could not ask for better football weather than what's coming in Knoxville on Saturday. There will be a high of 60 degrees, with a low of 46. With kickoff set for 6:15 p.m., temperatures are expected to be in the mid-50s, and it will be partly cloudy.

As you can see, the weather won't have an impact on this game at all. If anything, it'll be great for George MacIntyre to air the ball out a little, while DeSean Bishop will be able to do his thing with the ground game.

Tennessee Vols' injury report for Week 10 vs. Kentucky

Leading up to this week, there was plenty of concern that maybe Bishop would remain dinged up after getting hurt late against South Carolina in Week 10. However, the good news here is that he was able to recuperate during the BYE week, and he's all systems go for Saturday night.

There are no new injuries for the Vols, though the following players have been confirmed to be OUT for this one: Ethan Davis, Joakim Dodson, Jaedon Harmon, Edrees Farooq, Dylan Lewis, and Wendell Moe Jr.

Tennessee has dominated the rivalry with Kentucky over the past 10 games

While Kentucky may be No. 6 in the CFP rankings and No. 8 in the AP Poll, that's nothing for the Vols to be concerned about. In the last 10 games, Tennessee is 8-2 against the Wildcats. This is a rivalry that has been owned by Tennessee throughout history, with people hoping that more of the same will be on display in primetime in Week 10.
