Tyler Bray Receiving Praise For “Big Arm”
By Zach Ragan
Everyone in East Tennessee already knew about former Vols QB Tyler Bray‘s big arm, but now Kansas City Chiefs fans and media in the Midwest are finding out as well.
Bray is likely competing for a roster spot during training camp.
Alex Smith is entrenched as the Chiefs’ starter and there’s not much of a chance that Kansas City will cut 2014 draft pick Aaron Murray.
That means that Bray could be competing with Chase Daniel for the backup quarterback spot. The loser of that battle will likely be cut.

Chiefs beat writer Terez Paylor, who recently offered some good insight on the Chiefs’ quarterback battle, thinks there is a possibility that Kansas City will keep all four quarterbacks.
While that’s definitely a possibility, I think it’s much more likely that Kansas City only keeps three quarterbacks. Paylor agrees that Murray will almost certainly be one of the quarterbacks the Chiefs keep.
That means Bray needs to have an impressive camp to beat out veteran Chase Daniel for the backup spot. Bray clearly has more upside than Daniel, but he’s still a bit raw to be the guy you’re relying on if Alex Smith gets injured.
We’ll keep you updated on Bray’s progress as training camp continues.
