Vols TE Ethan Wolf To Travel With Team To Oklahoma

His availability is unknown, but Butch Jones made one thing certain on Wednesday evening — injured tight end Ethan Wolf will make the trip with the Vols to Oklahoma on Saturday.

Wolf was injured in Tennessee’s win against Arkansas State last Saturday.

The Vols received some good news earlier this week, when it was announced that Wolf had been diagnosed with a bruised knee. That’s much better than any alternative.

Wolf led the Vols in receptions against Arkansas State with five, despite having to leave the game.

Tennessee has already received a considerable amount of production from the tight end position through two games, compared to what they received last season.

The Vols will need every advantage they can get against Oklahoma if they have any plans of pulling the upset.

Von Pearson Out

Butch Jones announced earlier this week that wide receiver Von Pearson would be out against Oklahoma with a high ankle sprain. Jones confirmed on Wednesday evening that Pearson would not make the trip to Norman.

Sophomore Josh Smith will start in place of Pearson on Saturday.
