Justin Worley & Coleman Thomas Ruled Out For Vols
By Zach Ragan
This is far from a shocker, but Vols quarterback Justin Worley and right tackle Coleman Thomas have both been officially ruled out for Saturday night’s matchup between Tennessee and South Carolina.
Worley and Thomas both missed Tennessee’s last game, against Alabama.
Redshirt senior Jacob Gilliam will start at right tackle for the Volunteers, while Brett Kendrick will start at left tackle. This is the same lineup the Vols went with against Alabama and it seemed to work much better than Kyler Kerbyson and Coleman Thomas at the tackle positions.

Gilliam is playing on borrowed time with a torn ACL. Regardless of how his senior season ends, he’ll go down in Tennessee folklore for the effort and dedication he is showing this season.
As far as quarterback goes, sophomore Josh Dobbs is expected to get the start. Dobbs made his season debut against Alabama, after Butch Jones pulled an ineffective Nathan Peterman from the game.
The Vol offense looked much more fluid with Dobbs under center. Even if Worley was healthy, it’s no guarantee that he’d be starting ahead of Dobbs.
Tennessee and South Carolina kick off at 7:30 PM ET. You can find all the Gameday Info right here.
