Vols Recruiting: Chase Hayden Offered By Tennessee
By Zach Ragan
2017 running back Chase Hayden, a Vol legacy from Collierville, TN (St. George’s Independent School), was offered by the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday.
Hayden’s offer from Tennessee is his first.
Hayden is the son of former UT running back Aaron Hayden, who played at Tennessee from 1992-1994. The elder Hayden was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in the NFL, playing for the Chargers, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.
I would be very surprised if Tennessee isn’t able to land the 5’11″/170 lb Vol legacy.

Butch Jones puts such a huge importance on former Vols, that it absolutely resonates with the offspring of those VFL’s.
That’s why you don’t see many Vol legacies even considering other schools.
I don’t expect it to be any different in Chase Hayden’s case.
