Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter is heading to the injured reserve list after suffering a lacerated spleen this past Sunday.
Hunter suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Titans’ loss to the Texans. The former Vol returned to the game, before being pulled and sent to the hospital. Hunter spent multiple nights in the hospital before being released.

It’s a tough end to Hunter’s second season. There was a ton of hype surrounding the 23 year old, but he was unable to deliver, catching only 28 passes for 498 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games played.
While Hunter’s numbers improved from his rookie season, they were nowhere close to where many experts predicted.
There’s no doubt that Hunter has the potential to be a star in the NFL. He possesses a rare combination of size, speed and big play ability. Hopefully he can get healthy and breakout in his third season.
