Where Do Vols Land In ESPN’s 2015 Bowl Game Predictions

On Monday, we told you where the Vols’ landed in ESPN’s early top 25 rankings.

Today we continue the theme of looking at “way too early” lists with ESPN’s 2015 bowl game predictions.

ESPN college football analysts Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy each predicted the participants in every 2015 bowl game. They both have the Vols playing in a bowl game this fall.

Schlaback has Tennessee matched up against Wisconsin in the Outback bowl, while McMurphy has the Volunteers playing Georgia Tech in the Belk Bowl.

Of the four teams that played in these two bowl games this past season, two of them entered the game with nine wins, with the other two having eight wins.

More from Vols Football

The Vols are obviously hoping to win more then eight games during the regular season. If they plan to win the SEC East, they need to win at least nine games.

It’s worth nothing the last time Tennessee won the SEC East (2007) they played Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl and finished as a ten win team.

Considering the Vols haven’t even sniffed ten wins since 2007, I think Vol fans would be very, very happy with that scenario playing out once again.

So what do you think about these bowl projections? Are you hoping for a better bowl, or is this about where you think the Vols should be?
