Vols Recruiting: Shi Smith Offered By Tennessee
By Zach Ragan
2017 four-star wide receiver/athlete Shi Smith was offered by the Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday morning.
Smith is a 5’11″/1175 lb recruit from Union, SC (Union). 247Sports rates him as the third best 2017 player in South Carolina and the 21st best 2017 athlete in the nation.
In addition to his offer from the Vols, Smith also has offers from Appalachian State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Towson.

Smith is a very speedy wide receiver (he reportedly runs the 40 yard dash in 4.40 seconds). He would fit very well in the Volunteeers’ offense.
So far there have been four 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions made for Smith. All of those predictions have Smith committing to South Carolina.
It’s still very early, but I think Smith is a player the Vols could have a great shot at landing.
