Da’Rick Rogers Sentenced To One Day In Jail

Former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers will spend one day in jail and serve six months probation, as part of a plea deal for a DUI arrest last September.

Rogers, who went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills. After he was cut by the Bills, the Indianapolis Colts signed the troubled, but talented, wide receiver.

The Georgia native caught 14 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns for the Colts in 2013.

Rogers started the 2014 season the Colts’ practice squad. He was cut the day his DUI was reported.

More from Vols In The Pros

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Rogers this past off-season. The Chiefs don’t have a lot of depth at the wide receiver position, making it a great landing spot for the former Vol.

There’s little doubt that Rogers can be a solid player in the NFL, but he has to stop getting in trouble off the field or he’ll be just another “what could’ve been”.
