2016 four-star wide receiver Javon McKinley revealed his top six schools on Monday evening and the Vols were among those who made the cut.

McKinley is a 6’2″/185 lb recruit from Corona, CA (Centennial). He’s rated by 247Sports as the 14th best player in the state of California and the 14th best wide receiver in the nation.

55% of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions that have been made for McKinley have him committing to USC.

McKinley had an absolute monster season as a junior in high school. According to 247Sports, the California native caught 97 passes for 2,062 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2014.

I don’t care what kind of competition he was playing against — those are simply incredible numbers.

It’s going to be tough for Tennessee to land McKinley, but he’d definitely be one of the top players in their 2016 class if they did somehow manage to sway him to Rocky Top.
