Justin Hunter Receives Grim Warning
By Zach Ragan
Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt had no problem this week acknowledging that wide receiver Justin Hunter has had some solid mini camp practices so far.
But he also didn’t hesitate to issue a grim warning to Hunter, saying “At some point, you either get it or you won’t be in this league anymore. That’s the natural order of the NFL.”
For what it’s worth, Hunter knows it’s now or never. He told the Tennessean this week that “I’ve got to get it going…..going into my third year, I’ve got to improve. I can’t falter in any part of my game.”
The former Vol has the talent to be a solid player in the NFL. He’s tall, he can jump and he has a large catch radius.
Unfortunately, it just hasn’t all come together for Hunter during his first two seasons.
Hunter caught only 28 of 68 targets last season for 498 yards and three touchdowns — certainly not the type of production the Titans were expecting.

The NFL is a tough business and you don’t get a lot of chances to prove yourself. Hunter has enough talent that if it doesn’t work out in Tennessee, another team will probably pick him up.
But he’d have to start from the bottom, something that typically doesn’t work out.
It would be in Hunter’s best interest to get it going this season, or else he might be forever buried on a depth chart.
