Vols In Lindy’s Sports Pre-Season Top 25

Yet another pre-season top 25 hit the internet this week and yet again the Vols are among the teams in the top 25.

Lindy’s Sports released their pre-season top 25 on Wednesday and Tennessee came in at #17 on their list.

Here’s what they had to say about the Volunteers:

"There is no doubt the arrow is pointing up for this program. UT will be a tough out for anybody it plays. Winning the East is unlikely — 0 for 3 vs. Missouri so far, by the way — but the earth is shifting in Knoxville and we’re not about to pretend otherwise."

It’s interesting that they think winning the East is unlikely for the Vols. Though I understand where they’re coming from.

I also agree that Missouri could be Tennessee’s biggest road block to winning the East. The Vols have to finally beat the Tigers (and Florida too) if they’re going to win the East.

All streaks come to an end at some point, it just seems like Tennessee’s losing streaks have lasted longer than any other team.

The Vols are on the way up and their ranking in various pre-season top 25’s represents that.

But remember, it’s not where you start the season, but rather where you finish the season.
