A Look at the Tennessee Vols New Nike Uniforms

The Nike era for Tennessee Vols athletics began Wednesday, July 1, with a fashion runway show featuring new uniforms. Here is what they look like.

Five sports with the Tennessee Vols athletic department were featured on the runway Wednesday afternoon as the program’s athletic department unveiled its new Nike uniforms.

It’s an exciting time for the program as a new era begins. The new uniforms feature some vintage Tennessee looks and also bring in some new tradition.

Football, baseball, softball, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball all revealed new uniforms with runway shows. The football and basketball programs featured a home and road uniform plus an alternate uniform.

Nike clearly was aware of the tradition of Tennessee and has blended a few things unique about the state and the culture of the program with their new uniforms.

And when the doors opened, fans flocked into Tennessee stores ready to buy the new Nike gear as lots of it is already in stock.

The Adidas era was a great run, the most successful in Tennessee athletics history. But it’s time to celebrate the new era, which is a step back into the old era since the Vols were sponsored by Nike before Adidas as well.
