Final Prediction
Jarrett Guarantano will be the only quarterback to sign with the Tennessee Vols in this year’s recruiting class. His signing would have scared anybody else away anyway.
Tennessee is far too deep at the position and still has a guy on the roster who will most likely be the starter for the next two years. Even if you embrace tough competition and have a ton of confidence, it would not be smart to pick the Vols as a top quarterback over the next couple of years.
Any quarterback that comes in would likely be fighting to be a third-stringer for the next two years. And this is all going to happen whether or not Jauan Jennings can stay on the team.
Simply put, the Vols are stacked at quarterback. If the current prospects they are pursuing are not heavily interested now, they are not likely to become more interested as time goes on.
And Jones is not likely to pursue them that heavily either given the fact that he wants to bring in more depth at other positions as well. So no more quarterbacks that matter will sign with this class.
But it is nothing to worry about.
