Final Prediction

Butch Jones is not done with the running back position. He knows he needs to add more depth there, and with 11 potential prospects right now who have received offers, he and the coaching staff will not let up until they bring somebody in.

And they will bring in two people.

There are enough backs interested in Tennessee right now that Jones will bring in one elite back and another for depth. The Vols will bring in at least one player among Kyle Porter, B.J. Emmons,  and Elijah Holyfield. Then they will nab either Trevor Speights or D’Vaughn Pennamon.

Tennessee’s running back situation is going to be set for the next three years after this year, and the depth will be unquestioned. Whomever picks Tennessee knows they could have a chance to play earlier than expected due to injuries and early departures, and that will be enough to bring in a couple of more prospects before National Signing Day.

So don’t worry Vol Nation, the Tennessee running back situation is already in great shape, and it will be in even better shape by next year. Jones has built a rock-solid foundation for the backfield to rest on. And that is not going anywhere.
