Final Take and Prediction

For purposes of depth, Butch Jones and the Tennessee Vols certainly need to add a couple of more defensive ends if they want to feel secure. It may be hard to do that, but he took a hit with two of the players no longer in the program from last year’s recruiting class, even if he did have a good class this year.

One pickup makes things very good for the depth of the program the next couple of years, and Jones has that. Another pickup would put the situation right where it needs to be, and two pickups, which is very possible, would make the situation perfect.

There will definitely be one more pickup. All for Tennessee is banking on the Brownsville, Tenn. prospect Emmit Gooden to decide to stay in state and go to the other side of it. This is another area, West Tennessee, the coaching staff has been huge on locking up, and Jones is going to make sure of that here.

There is a chance for another three-star player to come. But that will just be icing on the cake. We will call it a sure bet for the Vols to add one more end and a 50/50 chance that they add two.

Either way, they will be set for the next few years.
