1. Depth is still a question

While we got an answer on the backup quarterback situation and Butch Jones and Co. appear to be heavily embracing expectations, the issue of depth still came into play. Jones said at one point that the Vols are still not quite where they fully need to be after two great recruiting classes.

And he is right, considering that most of the depth will be built around incoming freshmen this year.

As a result, there is still concern about the Vols, and a few bad breaks could turn this into a disastrous season if things go sour.

Any injuries, especially on the offensive or defensive fronts, could make things very difficult. The Vols are loaded with skill players but still do not appear to have enough bodies to handle injuries in the trenches.

If that happens, expectations will have to be tempered a lot. However, at the same time, this is all based on the fact that we have not seen the incoming freshmen for August practices yet.

So this could change very quickly. The only thing that is clear is that as of this moment, there are still unanswered questions going into the season. Jones affirmed that with his comments Tuesday.
