Five Biggest Surprises from the Media’s SEC Predictions

The SEC Predictions were released Thursday as SEC Media Days drew to a close. Here are the biggest prediction surprises from Tennessee’s perspective.
And the college football talk begins. As SEC Media Days drew to a close Thursday, the first batch of college football media predictions came out.

The SEC Media predictions stuck to conventional wisdom in some aspects and took a shocking twist in others. It is obviously safe to say that there is no reason to care who is picked to finish where given the track record of the media when it comes to SEC Predictions.
But let’s call it what it is…we love talking about it.
And it is fun when they go out on a limb in some instances, as they did this year.
A few predictions made perfect sense. As we thought, the Tennessee Vols were picked to finish second in the SEC East, and they received 36 first place votes in addition to three points in the overall SEC standings, where they were picked to finish No. 7.
So the dark horse candidate-themed story continues.
And, also no surprise, the Georgia Bulldogs were picked to win the East. But outside of those two things, there were some big shockers with this year’s media day predictions from Tennessee’s perspective.
