Position battles, injuries, and coaching changes are all in play as the Tennessee Vols begin preseason practice Tuesday. Here are 10 things to watch for.
Conference media days are over, and the preseason for college football has officially begun. The Tennessee Volunteers are officially set to begin preseason practice, and there are plenty of things to watch out for.

It started with Butch Jones press conference Monday, as he detailed players who would be missing from camp and for the season. Freshmen Preston Williams and Zach Stewart will likely miss the year due to an eligibility issue and a family tragedy respectively.
Wide Receiver Von Pearson is still not with the team due to off the field legal issues that have not yet been resolved.
And LaTroy Lewis, Trevarris Saulsberry, Max Arnold, and Andrew Butcher are all being treated for various injuries at this point.
Despite all that, the Vols appear to be entering Fall practice as loaded as they have been in years, and they still have a ton of underclassmen as crazy as that sounds.
With 20 returning starters overall and a ton of expectations, Jones said it best. They simply need to focus on getting one percent better every single day.
Still, there are lots of factors that make this preseason very interesting, and as always, there are plenty of questions and things to watch out for.
