Tennessee Vols Top 10 Position Battles Going Into Fall Camp

With the Tennessee Vols preseason set to begin, here are the Top 10 position battles to keep an eye on in Knoxville.
They happen at every school going into the season. Even with 20 returning starters, the Tennessee Volunteers are not immune to quite a few position battles going into the 2015 college football season.

In fact, the program has a pretty good number of at least potential position battles this year for a team that returns so many players. But hey, that’s what happens if you bring in two straight Top Five recruiting classes.
And with very few seniors on the roster, it is a pretty darn good problem to have. That is an undeniable fact.
From the secondary to special teams to the linebackers to the trenches, there are lots of spots that players can fill or take at Tennessee this year, and there are also some clear-cut open positions up for grabs at this point.
Perhaps the only positions that are not really up for much taking are the skill positions on offense, but even in those cases there are spots where players need to emerge and stand out a heck of a lot more than they have been doing up to this point.
A mix of raw talent and youthful experience will make this a very interesting Fall camp to keep an eye on in Knoxville, especially since some position battles can open up battles at other positions.
With all of that taken into account, here is a look at the Top 10 position battles at Tennessee going into the 2015 preseason.
