The 2015 Tennessee Vols football season excitement means lots of ways to define success. Here are the Top 10 ways to determine if this is a good season.


So just what are the expectations for the 2015 Tennessee Vols football season? Is it to compete for a national title? Is it to win the SEC East? Is it a Top 25 finish?

Or is it to simply make another bowl game?

When you are in the preseason Top 25 in both major polls coming on the heels of a 7-6 season, which followed three straight losing seasons, it is not exactly easy to measure what you are looking for this year.

We already mentioned in a previous article that the 2015 football team is in the same spot as the 2012 team going into the year, which you can see here.

Of course, as mentioned in the article, there are differences, but don’t forget that in 2012 expectations ranged from an SEC Championship to hopefully at least an eight-win season.

That range is similar this year as well.

It’s hard to know what the exact goals of the team itself are, but we know at least that we expect an improvement over last year. How much is the question.

So with all the things people are mentioning in their expectations surrounding the Vols, which outcomes are the most important to determine if this is a success?

The number of wins plays a role in this obviously, as well as the performance against rivals.
