That is obviously the question we are going to address with this preview, as we name the SEC Championship, the SEC runner-up, and our projected standings for each division in the SEC.
Oh, and we will obviously take a look at where the Tennessee Vols come in.
This football season for the SEC is a little bit tricky because it is starting to become questionable just how dominant the conference is, but that should not be the case when you consider that the SEC West is still absolutely loaded.
And there is a chance that the SEC East could be revitalized this year if Missouri, Tennessee, and Georgia all live up to expectations. Don’t sleep on Florida, South Carolina, or Kentucky this year either as solid teams.
That division is definitely set up for the future.
But getting back to this year, a look at the SEC will tell you one thing: whomever has the fewest problems in the passing game will likely win the conference. Almost every major team has an elite running game and an elite defense, but the quarterback position in the conference is extremely suspect.
There are maybe four teams that are okay at the quarterback position, and only one of them is getting any real recognition as a potential SEC Championship contender.
Meanwhile, everybody is deep at running back, and SEC defenses are expected to be, well, SEC defenses. So with that, let’s begin our SEC preview, starting with a look at who the SEC Champion will be.
