The Tennessee vs. Bowling Green game in Nashville Saturday looks to be a shootout. Here are five Vols to watch for against the Falcons.
It’s football time in Tennessee! Who is not excited about this? College football is back, and everybody is ready after a long, tedious, eight-month wait.
The Tennessee Volunteers kick off the 2015 football season with a match-up in Nashville against the Bowling Green Falcons, a great opener against a solid non-conference opponent in a home stadium away from home.

This Tennessee vs. Bowling Green match-up is more intriguing than you might think. While the Vols are -20.5 favorites to win the game, and they certainly have earned the rights to be heavy favorites, there are a few things Bowling Green can do that might give Tennessee some trouble, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
With most of the offense back for Bowling Green, expect a shootout this weekend, meaning the Vols will need to score a lot of points against a very weak Falcons defense.
Butch Jones and Co. know all to well about how dangerous these type of teams can be, as he was a head coach in the MAC for three years, and the Falcons also have a few players that he recruited while coaching the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Taking all of that into account, Jones will certainly not under-estimate this team. But there are weaknesses on here that should allow certain individuals to shine in a blowout if everybody does what they are supposed to do.
If not, well, we could have a bigger scare on our hands than we would like for an opening game in Nashville.
But either way, there are people to keep an eye on. Here are the five Vols to watch for this Saturday when Tennessee and Bowling Green square off.
