At some point this season, SEC Nation will originate from Knoxville, but it won’t be this week with the Volunteers taking part in a non-conference game against Oklahoma.
Instead, SEC Nation will heading to Nashville for Vanderbilt’s conference opener against Georgia.
SEC Nation, the SEC Network’s pre-game show similar to ESPN’s “College Gameday”, moves around each week to different campuses in the SEC.
There are three SEC matchups next Saturday: Georgia @ Vandy, Kentucky @ South Carolina and LSU @ Mississippi State.
I’m a little surprised the show isn’t heading to Starkville for LSU @ Mississippi State. But perhaps the line of thinking here is to go ahead and get the trip to Nashville out of the way.

There’s little doubt that Georgia is going to have its way with Vanderbilt.
And the Commodores’ season is likely to only go downhill from here.
So using that logic, it probably makes sense that SEC Nation, which tries to hit most of the campuses in the SEC, would go ahead and makes the trip to Vanderbilt Stadium.
I’d say it’s most likely that SEC Nation will head to Knoxville for Tennessee’s October 3 matchup against Arkansas.
