In the Tennessee vs. Oklahoma game Saturday, here are the five players on the Sooners football team to watch for when they go up against the Volunteers.

We have covered the five keys to the game for both teams, the five players on the Vols to watch for, and spoken with Chip Rouse of Stormin in Norman about the game.

Now, it’s time to take a full look at the Oklahoma Sooners football team and which players will step up for them Saturday.

Just as the Vols need guys like Curt Maggitt, Joshua Dobbs, Todd Kelly, and their whole offensive line to step up, Oklahoma needs players to counter that as much as possible.

And with a new offensive system to complement an elite defense, you can look all over the field for key players on the Sooners.

Know that this football team as a whole is just as hungry as the Vols to get a big win after the way they fell apart down the stretch and the mounting criticism that has been aimed in Bob Stoops’s direction since then.

That makes this Tennessee vs. Oklahoma match-up more intriguing than any game this weekend, as one of those teams is going to feel like their season is a complete loss after Saturday.

Last year, there were specific individuals who single-handedly turned this game into a blowout in Norman, and many of those same guys are back this year. But there are also replacements at certain positions that might even improve the Sooners.

And they need players to counter the switches and replacements on the Vols. All of this makes it a bit tricky when determining the five most important players on Oklahoma. But they may have made their mark last year, and what happens on Saturday will depend on how they play.

So here are five Sooners to watch out for when the Tennessee-Oklahoma game kicks off at Neyland Stadium Saturday evening.
