Ramon Foster. 6. player. 55.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had a tough loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday night football last week, and the offense has plenty of things that it needs to work on. But Ramon Foster deserves some credit for being a part of a unit that actually played pretty well for most of the game. In fact, when Todd Haley did not get in the way, it played great.

Foster cleared the way for a De’Angelo Williams at running back who was supposed to be washed up to rush for over 120 yards and average more than six yards a carry during the game. That was very impressive, and had Haley not tried to get cute with his play-calling whenever the Steelers were moving the ball, it could have been for more.

Foster also helped protect Ben Roethlisberger all night, even though he was sacked twice. He still did all he could.

This spot does look odd when you consider that Foster was part of an offensive line that had major issues inside the red zone once again, coming away with only one touchdown on eight plays inside the 10-yard line. And it looks worse because the Steelers constantly had issues consistently playing well whenever they got inside New England territory.

But again, that is much more on Haley and miscues by other players than it is Foster. The veteran offensive lineman who was at Tennessee from 2004 to 2008 helped put the Steelers in those positions, and he deserves credit for playing well all night.
. Guard. Pittsburgh Steelers
