To keep their streak in the Tennessee vs. Florida game alive, certain Gators have to step up against the Volunteers. Here are the five players to watch.
As Tennessee gets set to meet Florida, despite having all of the preseason hype, more expectations throughout the year, and more experience in coaching and talent, they are once again the underdogs to lose to the Gators, which would make it 11 straight losses.

Florida has the psychological advantage to the point that it expects to beat the Vols and their fans are not even considering it a rivalry right now. That is going to be a huge plus no matter what.
But if they are going to keep the streak alive, there are players who will have to, as Skip Bayless says, leap off the television screens. A huge road win against a good Kentucky Wildcats football team, another game in which the psychological factors of a winning streak played in Florida’s hands, really helped reveal the players that you can expect to step up on that team.
But at the same time, Jim McElwain’s new system has opened up a lot of questions through the first two games, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
Who are the go-to stars on the offense? Which players will he be looking for to take over in big moments?
At this point, that is all on the defensive side of the ball, but offensive players have to come through somewhat if the Gators are going to win Saturday.
And Tennessee and Butch Jones know all too well about being torched by some of these players after last year’s heartbreaking loss, and even though the coach is different, those players are still elite.
So keeping an eye on those guys, here are the five players on the Florida Gators that Tennessee needs to watch for in this Saturday’s Tennessee vs. Florida matchup.
