The Tennessee vs. Florida rivalry has produced many great plays for both teams. Here are the five plays every Volunteers fan remembers fondly in the series.

It was once the rivalry that stopped college football.

Tennessee vs. Florida was the most important SEC game every year from 1990 to 2001 and really carried weight until about 2007. There are infamous plays that every Vols fan will remember, but since the rivalry took off when they started playing on an annual basis in 1990, there are plenty of game-changing moments they will remember as well.

Unfortunately, these memories have faded over the past 10 years, with everything working in the favor of Florida during that time.

And it also did what Vol fans always dreaded: it gave Florida the lead in the overall series, the last thing anybody wanted to see. Not only did they get a lead in the series with this streak, but they took a larger lead than the Vols had before the streak began.

But before this, there was a time long ago in what seems like a galaxy far far away when Tennessee and Florida were on equal footing every year, to the point that the total score of the games from 1998 to 2006 was just 204 to 192 in favor of Florida, six of those games were within four points, and the Gators only led the series five to four.

This was, of course, before Tim Tebow broke the series open and made this football team seem unbeatable from the perspective of Vols fans every year.

As Tennessee tries to get back to that, history shows that they will need plenty of memorable plays that are etched in the minds of every Tennessee fan for years to come.

Here are the Top Five most memorable plays in the history of the series since the rivalry officially began in 1990.
