Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joshua Dobbs caught a touchdown pass from wide receiver Jauan Jennings to tie the game up with the Florida Gators at 7.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
And the Vols did just that against the Gators. Down 7-0 and unable to generate much offense, Mike DeBord pulled out some trickery.
Dobbs threw what looked to be a screen pass to Jauan Jennings, a freshman receiver who was initially committed as a quarterback himself.
Jennings then threw the pass back to Dobbs, who ran it into the end zone for a touchdown.
The play was just the spark Tennessee needed, but they were still not able to generate much in the passing game at all in the first quarter.

Jalen Hurd was the guy to power through Gator defenses at that point.
Meanwhile, the Tennessee defense had one bad drive but outside of that benefitted from a struggling Will Grier at quarterback.
Aside from all of that, though, it was very nice to see Jennings and Dobbs connect in the exact opposite way that we would expect them to connect.
At least DeBord knows how to get creative with his weapons when they are all out there on the football field.
