4. Consistency from Joshua Dobbs

It seems a little bit blasphemous to say this after Joshua Dobbs was just named the national player of the week with more than 300 yards passing, 100 yards rushing, and five total touchdowns.

But Dobbs still has to work on some consistency throwing the football.

Do not forget that before Tennessee got on a roll, Dobbs was very inaccurate on a lot of plays from the pocket, he almost threw an interception when the Vols needed a touchdown because he went for it all after missing Jalen Hurd wide open.

He also was bailed out on that first touchdown the Vols scored because he was highly inaccurate on his pass to Josh Smith, but Smith was good enough to pull it down and run into the end zone. Still, if it was not for Smith, the Vols would have lost the game right there, and fans would be calling for Dobbs’s head right now.

It seems like Dobbs feeds off momentum and plays going well, but he has got to be able to feed off momentum working against him. That is where the consistency comes in.

Dobbs needs to be able to change the course of momentum. You just have to look at the Oklahoma and Arkansas games to know that Dobbs and the offense nearly shuts down when the other team takes the momentum. That has to change in the second half of the year.

Otherwise, there are four games Tennessee could still lose.
