All for Tennessee Official Week Eight Top 25: Ohio State Back On Top; Vols Still Not In

The Ohio State Buckeyes surged back to the top of the Week 8 All for Tennessee Official Top 25 Rankings. This poll still did not have the Volunteers in it.

The Week Eight All for Tennessee Top 25 did not narrow the field too much. There is still a plethora of undefeated teams left in college football, and many of them had a strong case to make for the top spot.

The result was a series of heavy disagreements among the All for Tennessee staff over who belonged where. Teams at No. 1 in one poll did not belong even in the Top Five in other polls.

All of the staff clearly have different criteria, from schedule strength to style points to quality wins to quality losses to conference power. But they all take into account each game on a week-by-week basis.

And Ohio State clearly looked good enough to this staff for their cumulative points to put them back at No. 1 in this poll.

There are two teams from the Big Ten in the Top Five and three in the Top 10. Overall, these Top 25 rankings have four Big Ten teams, six SEC teams, four Big 12 teams, three Pac-12 teams, three ACC teams,  an Independent who is an ACC affiliate, and four Group of Five teams, including three from the American Athletic Conference and one from the MAC. There is also an ACC team and an SEC team who received votes for this polling.

Could this symbolize more parity coming to the sport? It just might.
