With the Tennessee Volunteers facing the Alabama Crimson Tide this week, here are the Top Five reasons fans in Knoxville should hate them.

Whether it be that traitor Paul Finebaum, the insufferable fans, or what has happened on the football field, Tennessee Vols fans have plenty of reasons to hate the Alabama Crimson Tide.

From Bear Bryant to Nick Saban, this football team has been the bane of the existence of everybody in Knoxville, and for good reason.

Alabama has one of the most insufferable fan bases in any sports, right there with Duke fans in basketball, Cowboys and Lakers fans in the NFL and NBA respectively, Yankees fans in baseball, and any Boston sports fan.

It seems like every year Tide fans manage to make up excuses if they don’t win the national title.

Then, of course, they manage to throw it in your face when they are handed the title by NCAA voters.

Before we go further, we must first acknowledge some truths. Yes, we Vols fans are a lot more hostile towards Alabama due to their eight-game winning streak against the team.

And it does not help matters that the Tide have won three national titles during that time, even though they did not at all deserve the chance to compete for one of those.

Anyway, no matter where you are from, if you are a Vols fan you know that the team from Tuscaloosa is insufferable in every way.

I even find myself rooting for Auburn in the Iron Bowl every year just to see the Tide suffer.

And the funniest part is I don’t really even despise Nick Saban that much. He leaves a lot to be respected about himself.

Unfortunately, too many people affiliated with the football team can’t say the same thing.

Let’s take a look at the Top Five reasons to hate the Alabama Crimson Tide.
