There are many players on the Crimson Tide football team that the Volunteers have to watch for in the Tennessee vs. Alabama game. Here are the top five.

We have made it pretty clear in our analysis of this upcoming game that the Vols have a very good shot based on match-ups to beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

After all, Tennessee has a very good quarterback, a great pass rush, and enough big play weapons to keep this thing interesting. And considering that they should be 6-0 right now, it’s not beyond the pale to think what they could do to Alabama, especially when Alabama is in the midst of a trap game.

But it is time to come back to a little bit of reality.

The Tide are still loaded with talent, and they are the better team. As a result, there are certain players that will give the Vols no chance of winning if they come out and perform well Saturday.

As we already said, there are some Vols players who will have to come out and perform, and at the same time, they cannot afford to have these guys on Alabama perform well.

It will take both things happening if Tennessee is to get a win in Tuscaloosa.

From Alabama’s perspective, they obviously have key players who will have to show up, particularly spots where they have been weak over the past few weeks, or at least inconsistent.

At the same time, they have a strength that is a perfect way to exploit Tennessee’s biggest weakness, which makes that player key into how he will demoralize the Vols.

And while they have one of the most talented defenses ever under Nick Saban, it has under-achieved to this point, so it needs to step up and show a little bit more of its power.

Altogether, Alabama can’t coast by this game. Here are the five players the Vols need to watch for in this game.
