The Tennessee Vols football team will upset the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Here are the five reasons to believe in the Volunteers.

Yes, I am calling for the upset.

All week, I have heard about my columns trying to spin this game in favor of my bias towards the Tennessee Vols. And hey, maybe it is bias.

But after correctly picking that the Vols would lose to Florida and lose to Oklahoma but beat Georgia, the only pick I have gotten wrong this year has been when Tennessee lost to Arkansas.

That will remain the only pick after Saturday.

Tennessee is entering Tuscaloosa with all signs pointing to an upset win for this 3-3 football team.

At 15.5 point underdogs, the line is almost a sure bet in favor of the Vols.

The over-reaction to Tennessee’s 3-3 record along with the way the Vols have recently come together, combined with the biggest weaknesses of the Tide, all make for a Tennessee football team ready to pull of the upset of the season.

Thanks to Florida losing to the LSU Tigers last week, Butch Jones’s squad know they now have an 0ff-chance to win the SEC East as well.

And with the back end of the schedule all but guaranteeing at least eight wins, a victory Saturday could propel this team to a nine-win season.

It would also be another signature victory for Jones. Here are the Top Five reasons the Vols will upset the Alabama Crimson Tide.
