The Auburn and Missouri Tigers both fell in the All for Tennessee Official Week Nine SEC Power Rankings, but the Ole Miss Rebels rose dramatically.
Once again, the SEC had a dramatic shift this past weekend.
There were three huge upsets, one team who played far below its level of competition, and another two that have begun to look like the teams they were last year.
All of this begs the question, at which points are these SEC teams real and at which points are they flukes? It is impossible to tell midway through the season with one week left in the month of October.
Given the performance of two teams, the power of the SEC has even come into question more than ever before. How could Arkansas play so well in the SEC after losing to Toledo and Texas Tech?
How could Ole Miss lose to a Group of Five team and then beat who was perceived to be one of the better teams in the SEC the next week? All of this throws these SEC Power Rankings for a loop.

As we get set to bring you our Week Nine SEC Power Rankings, the Tennessee Vols may not have done enough to move significantly this time. Just playing the Alabama Crimson Tide tough is not going to cut it.
Too many other teams scored huge wins that have to move ahead of the Vols, and a few others had embarrassing losses that kept them from falling. This week’s power rankings had the biggest shake-up of all.
There is a new team at the bottom for the first time in two years! That is thanks to one upset none of us saw coming, which we will get to here.
But the team at the top remains on top. And they likely will for another week as well. More on that here, in the official All for Tennessee Week Nine SEC Power Rankings.
