But at 4-3, this is still a solid football team with a great quarterback in Patrick Towles. The offense can win any games for these guys, as can the pass rush on defense when everything is clicking.
But the Wildcats are a very thin football team as well, so a lot can go wrong quickly, as evidenced by how they gave up so many points to Dak Prescott and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Even with this solid team, making a bowl game is going to be difficult with games against the Tennessee Vols and Georgia Bulldogs up next on the slate. But Vanderbilt, Charlotte, and Louisville are all winnable at the end of the year, and that should at least get these guys to 7-5. Hey, that’s a big step up from the 5-7 season this football team had last year.
