This Tennessee vs. Kentucky game features two teams trying to stay afloat in the SEC East. Here are five players on the Volunteers to watch in the match-up.

The Tennessee Vols football team is finally past the brutal stretch of its schedule. Making it through the first seven games to 3-4 is not great.

But it is a lot better to think about when you consider the final five games on their schedule.

The end to the schedule starts Saturday, when the Vols take on the Kentucky Wildcats. This football team has been through a lot and will be looking to start a path to a strong finish to the season to make sure this is an improvement on last year and build even more hype for next year.

But they are meeting a Kentucky Wildcats team that truly believes it is one of the top teams in the SEC this year.

A 42-16 loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs woke the Wildcats up last week, but it’s not like they are not capable of turning right back around and beating the Vols in Lexington.

So if Tennessee is to start this strong finish, they have got to remain focused going into Saturday’s game. This is a difficult road match-up.

Remember the Florida Gators barely squeaked by at Kentucky 14-9, and if Patrick Towles gets red hot, his team can beat anybody.

To avoid that, there will be specific players for the Vols who have got to step up on Saturday. Here are the five players on the Tennessee Vols to watch for when they take on the Wildcats Saturday.
