The Tennessee Volunteers have played 15 football games on Halloween to a 12-3 record overall. Here are their most memorable Oct. 31 moments, good and bad.

This Halloween marks the 16th time the Tennessee Vols football team plays on that day. This year, they are playing the Kentucky Wildcats.

With a 12-3 record from the Holiday overall, this is a day for many great memories if you dress in orange.

Heck, why wouldn’t it be? Orange is the color of Halloween, and it is the perfect setting for any Tennessee football game. The Vols should have a monopoly on the holiday.

Anyway, there are plenty of great memories from this holiday and great events that happened. But there are also some horrific moments.

The Vols have seen it all on this holiday, from record-setting performances to interesting wardrobe choices to some heartbreaking losses.

And each of the past four Halloween games have been very memorable in their own way, for better or for worse, with three of them coming against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

More from Vols Football

There is more than just the color orange that is etched in the memories of Vols fans on this holiday. A distinct Halloween game marks a turning point in the history of the entire football program.

And since it is Halloween, we might as well acknowledge that there has clearly been a black cat operating around this football program for years now, dating back to before the last Halloween game.

Perhaps a road win Saturday against the Wildcats can change all of that.

Let’s take a look at the five most memorable Halloween moments for the Tennessee Vols football team, good and bad.
