In this Saturday’s Tennessee vs. South Carolina match-up, the Vols will be hoping to fend off a team that’s getting hot. Here are five USC players to watch.

They may have lost again on Saturday, and they may be without Steve Spurrier. But right now there is a new bounce in the step of the South Carolina Gamecocks that was not there before.

The Gamecocks played the Texas A&M Aggies very tough and only lost by a touchdown, showing that their offense could be starting to come on, while their defense remains very opportunistic.

On the defensive side of the ball, this team has a habit of coming up with turnovers at key moments, particularly in the passing game.

The result has made for a very elite secondary that Tennessee will have to be careful around the entire game.

Meanwhile, the improving offense features a great wide receiver, a good running back, and a quarterback who is finding his rhythm.

All of this makes for a team that the Vols cannot take lightly when they meet each other in Knoxville Saturday.

Tennessee is obviously a team finding its rhythm as well and starting to hit its stride, poised for a strong finish.

It would be a shame to see that strong finish nullified by an upset loss to South Carolina, but if they do not take the Gamecocks seriously, that is exactly what is going to happen.

The Vols need to be on the lookout for this team. Here are five players on the Gamecocks they have got to watch out for.
