Tennessee football has a rich tradition of winning bowl games, ranking No. 7 all time with 26 wins. Here are the 10 biggest bowl wins in Volunteers history.

Tennessee has a long history of going to bowl games, dating back to the 1939 Orange Bowl, when they beat the Oklahoma Sooners 17-0.

They have started from there to eventually play in 50 total bowl games, with their 51st appearance coming up on the first of next month.

Throughout their history with their 26-24 record, the Vols have had some incredible bowl victories that are etched in the memories of Tennessee football fans forever.

We have to take some of the victories with a grain of salt because, in all honesty, the bowl games did not matter until after the 1967 season, when the polls began to be released after they were played.

But they still created great memories for fans everywhere before they started to officially count toward the final rankings.

And while bowl games were clearly something that Robert Neyland did not take seriously since they never counted in his time, he still orchestrated some memorable victories in them, as did Doug Dickey, Bill Battle, Johnny Majors, and Phillip Fulmer.

But before we move on to that, let’s take a look back at some memorable postseason games.
