Confidence in the Tennessee football program is shaking just a bit when it comes to the experts. That’s if you take a look at their line in their opener against Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Labor Day next Monday.
The Vols opened a three and a half point favorite over the Yellow Jackets. However, the consensus line was three on Monday, according to Sportsbook Review. The over/under for the game was at 56 Monday evening as well.
The line could have dropped for numerous reasons.

Uncertainty over both teams and how they’ll perform this season is a big question. On top of that, the injury to starting Tennessee football linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. definitely shook things up.
And this game is in Atlanta, Georgia Tech’s backyard, leading to questions about the Vols breaking in a new quarterback in that environment.
All of this makes for a very intriguing Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic.
