4th NFC West. 6-10. San Francisco 49ers. 4. player. Scouting Report. 42. Pick Analysis

The 49ers are coming off a 6-10 season, and I am not fooling anyone when I say it did not go so far. However, they have the best quarterback in the NFL now, so there’s that.

Okay, maybe that is a bit premature. After all, Jimmy Garoppolo is a perfect 7-0 as a starter in the NFL. 2-0 as a Patriot and 5-0 after he was traded to the 49ers. How in the world Garoppolo took a team that only had one win the time he arrived, to a six-win team, I will never know.

Jimmy G is a good quarterback, but no one thought he would have that type of success as quickly as he did. The 49ers are coached by what will be a second-year head coach in Kyle Shanahan next season, and his offense seems to click.

Despite only having one win the 49ers were competitive in games last season. Moreover, now with the addition of Jimmy Garoppolo, the Niners can look to add pieces around him, especially pass-catching tight ends.

What tight ends are on the 49ers roster?

The 49ers have Garrett Celek (Michigan State) and George Kittle (Iowa) who played most of the snaps last season. Celek is a good tight end but will never be that passing game threat that teams need nowadays. Kittle, on the other hand, could be but had his fair share of drops.

Cole Hikutini (Louisville) and Cole Wick (Incarnate Word) are also on the roster. It is safe to say that the 49ers need and will search for a tight in the 2018 NFL Draft. Maybe a good chance for Wolf to get after it and see some playing time next season.
