Tennessee basketball: Vols Jordan Bowden is back after knee procedure
Jordan Bowden is back to full participation for the basketball team after a minor knee set back. It should not affect him moving forward.
After much confusion, it is indeed Jordan Bowden that is recovering from a knee procedure. However, now he is back with the team full time, and everything is fine.
Earlier today, associate head coach Rob Lanier, confused Jordan Bone and Jordan Bowden when talking about the knee procedure on an SEC telecommunications call.
Bowden has been limited the past couple of months as he is rehabbing his knee for the upcoming season.

There is no denying that Bowden is a vital piece of the puzzle for the Vols. Only twice all season did Bowden see less than 20 minutes of action. The first came during the matchup against South Carolina in Columbia. Bowden was not playing well with three personal fouls and three turnovers on 0-for3 shooting. He ended up only playing 13 minutes.
We should also mention, SEC Sixth Man of the Year, Lamonte Turner, was having himself a game and finished with 25 points. Head coach Rick Barnes has proven that he is going to ride with the hot hand and in that game Turner had it.
The other game came in the SEC Tournament against Arkansas. Bowden wasn’t aggressive at all, but he didn’t have to. The Vols dominated that entire game and didn’t really need anything from him. However, it would still have been nice to see a little life from Bowden.
Bowden showed signs of aggressive play in some games during the season. For example against the Mercer Bears, Bowden was 7-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from the three-point line.
Another game was the game versus Vanderbilt. Bowden shot 6-for-10 and 5-for-7 from the three-point line.
At one point earlier in the season, Bowden was shooting near 60 percent from the three-point line. However, that hot streak started to fade away and so did the aggressive play.

The Vols have a very unique opportunity to be one of the best teams in college basketball next season. However, that comes with Bowden becoming more aggressive. And, now that his knee is fine, that is exactly what the fans hope to get.
