The first game on the list is the game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on February 27. This game fell in the second half of back-to-back road trip against the Mississippi teams. This was the point in the season when Volnation realized that Admiral Schofield could have won the governorship of the state of Mississippi. He was that good.

He owned the two Mississippi teams. Despite shooting 0-for-2 from the three-point line, he scorched the Bulldogs for 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds. His 0-for-2 shooting from beyond the arc was one in only four games all season where he failed to make a three-point attempt.

The game against the Mississippi State also fell in the middle of a six-game winning streak the Vols put together at the end of the season. The game was never in question thanks to the 24 point output, and that is a big reason it was ranked as his fifth best game from a season ago.

Simply put, Schofield balled out in the state of Mississippi, and unfortunately for Ben Howland, his Bulldogs didn’t stand a chance.
