No.5 – Ryan Davis, Wide receiver

First on our list is the senior wide receiver, Ryan Davis. The wideout has failed to find the end zone this year but don’t let that fool you; he’s primed to go off.

More from All for Tennessee

Last season, Davis led the team with 84 receptions for 815 yards and scored five touchdowns. So far this season, Davis leads the Tigers in receiving yards yet again.

The 5-foot-9 wide receiver has 29 receptions on the year with 25 receiving yards. He is coming off his best game of the season against Mississippi State where he caught eight passes for 91 yards with a long of 42.

Davis is a threat in the return game as well. Let’s not confuse things, he is no Evan Berry, but Davis has the talent to take a punt to the house on any given play. He has the speed and has a quick first step, so the Vols will have to do a good job in coverage.

The injury bug hit Knoxville this week. Freshman defensive back, Trevon Flowers is out of the game and with an already thin secondary that only helps Davis and his fellow wide receivers. Keep an eye out to see if Davis can finally find the end zone for his first score of the season.
