If any team has no excitement left, it’s clearly the Arkansas Razorbacks. At 2-7 and 0-5 in the conference, Chad Morris’s first team has absolutely nothing to play for down the stretch of this season. That’s why they’re last place in our SEC Power Rankings.

However, that’s okay. This was always supposed to be a rebuilding year in Fayetteville with Morris installing his spread and John Chavis bringing in his new defense. This Arkansas team will be remembered for how it finishes the season in the process of setting the standard for the future.

With three games left, the Hogs are likely to finish 2-10. After all, their next two games are against the LSU Tigers and Mississippi State Bulldogs. Then they close out the season against the Missouri Tigers. The only home game of the three is LSU.

Simply put, there is no hope for these guys. However, they can at least show a bit of improvement this week against a demoralized Ed Orgeron-led team. Coming off a bye week, that would go a long way towards determining whether or not they can generate any strong level of morale finishing up the year. After all, they need to know this failed year was more about learning a new system than it was about just being this bad.
